We'd like know the potential impact to K2 regarding the DST change mentioned by the following page on the Microsoft site:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/timezone/dst2007.mspx

We're assessing potential impact the change in daylight savings time (the Energy Policy Act).

I don't think K2 should have any problems with it.

As long as the Microsoft patch is performed on OS's/SP's K2 supports, it shouldn't have a problem since K2 relies on the OS date/time for K2 native functionality.

Custom-coded apps is another matter ;-)

If the O/S date changes it will affect calculations that use date values, whether that be in K2.net Server code or custom code. The only areas where K2 sees it having an effect would be:

1. Escalations that are already planned, but that will just mean that they may fire a little early/late.

2. Working hours which will again only affect escalations.

3. StartRules - also firing an hour early/late.

4. WorklistItems in Sleep status - waking up an hour early/late.

5. Reporting - Duration values may be longer or shorter.

We installed the Windows 2003 DST Patch today and have multiple processing that are in error and in a hung state. Any idea of how to move these along or why they may be hung? These processes erred out after the patch installation.

Thanks,

Hi Lisa,

What exactly is the error you are encountering? Can you give us some screenshots?
