How can I start a WorkFlow on a list on another site collection?

Jump to solution

Hi everybody, here is my question:

I have a site named 'MySourceSite' on a Site Collection A. In this site, I designed a List named 'MySourceList'. When I add an item in this list, I want to start a workflow that creates a new Item in the list named 'MyTargetList' in another site named 'MyTargetSite', located in another Site Collection B.

Is it possible to achieve this and how can I do?

You can initiate a workflow via a webservice.  Please see Tutorial: How to start a workflow with the Call Web Service action

Hi,

I have the same situation,

For example I have a work in the list 1, in site 1 / subsite 1, but I need start with this workflow 1, the workflow 2 ubicated in the list 2, in site 2 / subsite 2, how I can do it?

My SharePoint and Nintex are 365 versión, the tutorial and manuals reviewed in this community are for 2010 version, this actionin 2010 is a little diferent than the 365 versión.

The list 1 and 2 are the same structure and columns.

Thanks

Federico
