fn-DoesMemberExistInAudience not working as expected in Nintex Forms 2010

Question asked by mbrowning01 on Jan 7, 2016

I'm trying to use fn-DoesMemberExistInAudience to validate a people picker field to make sure the user isn't in a particular audience and return an error message if they are.  Here's the code I'm using to check for validation in the control:

fn-If(fn-DoesMemberExistInAudience(Employee Name,"MEC"),Employee Name,"")

Employee Name is the people picker field in the form where the user can find and select a user.  I'm using this formula here:

The problem is this seems to reject every person I put into the people picker field whether they're in the MEC audience or not.  Anyone have an idea why this isn't working or if there's a better way to do this validation?
