Workflow not getting triggered programatically- SP 2013

Question asked by rahulnijhawan on Dec 21, 2015

Hi All, I have a workflow which triggers when an item is created. When an item is uploaded manually, it works just fine BUT when am item is uploaded through code, workflow does not trigger by itself. After googling, i came to know that when an item is uploaded through code, its done using SYSTEM ACCOUNT, hence the workflow does not start automatically. I also used the code given in this link: https://community.nintex.com/thread/1808 but still i was not able to start the workflow. When i tried to start the workflow by impersonating, i got this error: Failed to start workflow. Failed to open a connection to the Nintex Workflow configuration database. Then i went to start the workflow manually on the item where i have tried to start the WF through code, there i noticed that the workflow is listed under Completed Workflows but without any Internal Status, i.e. its blank!. Can anyone guide me as to how to start the workflow?

I am using SP2013 and Nintex Workflow 2013.
