change web app pool account

We just changed our account for our content web applications using CA.  Everything worked fine; however, Nintex workflows would not start and manager did not work.  I eventually, re-activated Nintex workflow to the web applications from Nintex Workflow Management. Once I did this Nintex Workflow began to function normally.  My manager requested that I verify with support that this in a normal procedure. I assume it was since the account for the web apps changed and Nintex Workflow was unaware of the new logon.  Thanks  Scott
