For one of our proposals we are looking to use Nintex workflows for approval that will communicate between SharePoint 2013 and Siebel.
Please let me know if this is feasible and how it can be achieved.
Nintex Worfklow has a number of Integration actions e.g.
Some of these may be appropriate to 'talk to' Siebel.
Give some examples of the communication between SharePoint & Siebel you have in mind.
Imagine it to be a service request that will saved/submitted to Siebel.
On submission data needs to be saved to Siebel and approval workflow kickstarts.
Mails and SMS will be sent to appropriate parties.
The approval can also be done by replying to email.
You'll want to investigate what Siebel offers as far as an exposed web service api. If it is exposed, then Nintex should be able to call it accordingly.
Please let us know is Nintex Workflow provides functionality to approve by replying to email?
Yes, you have to setup Lazy Approval. That allows you to send simple responses (Yes, No, Approved, Reject.......so on and so forth) to tasks via email response.
Thanks for the prompt response Mike.
