Is there a function in Nintex that would permit a custom action to convert InfoPath forms to PDF's?
or is another piece of software required (ie: Muhimbi)?
Hey Kyle Dennis, yeah your best bet is with Muhimbi.. To convert to PDF using Word services, you'd have to create a word doc template, and the pass all the values from InfoPath, into the that document and then use the Convert Doc action.. But not this would also be available if you had Enterprise edition.
I have used Muhimbi to convert InfoPath to pdf in a few projects and it is pretty nifty, and you get a lot of functionality for a lot less than what it would take to code it up. Eg merging, print single view, associate metadata, watermark etc etc..
Agreed with Daniel Stoll, Muhimbi is the winner for me. Been using it for years and it never disappoints. It just works. It is also effortless to configure and the integration with Nintex is number one. You create your document and use Nintex Muhimbi actions to convert.
You can also convert documents in the library without using Nintex so it works well on its own and with Nintex.
I too have used with success in the past.
Thanks, Dan. Seems like Muhimbi is the way to go.
