i am trying to hide a panel in repeating section based on a choice field.
but the hidden panel leaves white spaces.
Any ideas please, how can we do that .
Hi Ruchi, you may need to try out Mike's suggestion in this thread How to hide the white spaces from hidden fields on a form?
Thanks Emily for your response.
I have been playing with hiding controls quiet a bit. So far all was good.
The only thing is that hidden panel INSIDE a repeating section is leaving white space. Means the repeating section row is not getting shrinked up if it is having a panel which is hidden.
Ruchi, unfortunately that behaviour is by design. There is a feature request for this in our feedback site Repeating sections should have an auto size option for hidden sections. See attached screenshots, it doesn’t shrink the … - I'd recommended adding your vote to it, that way you can keep an eye on any progress with it too.
Thanks Emily for your quick reply.
I've given my vote for this feature request. Hope it comes up early.
Regards - Ruchi
You can hide using Java script code on event .. I'll try to post code here today.
Thanks for replying.
Please see if you can help on how to autosize repeating section row based
on hidden panels.
Regards n Thanks - Ruchi
I have been trying to solve this issue as well. Kamal, do you have an example of the code used to resolve it?
I've just bumped into this. I've had to associate previously global attributes that use hidden panels to each item in a repeat section. Lots of white space.
Regards and thanks,
I have this same issue. Can you please post your JS?
Can you please share the JS to hide the panel within the repeating section!
I had the same thing happen to me, I found that if the panels don't touch each other that the problem fixed it self.
I've tried this, but I only have one panel on the repeating section, that shows/hides or is disabled based on condition.
