How can I reorder states in a state machine without totally messing up my workflow. So if I have 10 states, I want to:
Visually I want the order to change so its in order 1,2,3....
Yes, the names are changing. Sounds like 2013 has the solution. What I ended up doing was creating a State Machine below the one I want to change and I copied the branches down in the correct order.
You have to click on the action for the State Machine. That lists all of the states. In there you can rename them.
Within the state machine action, there will be X's by the states you want to delete. To rename the states, simply edit them.
So, let me make sure I understand. Because I lost a few branches when renaming them. Right now I have State 1, State 3, State 4. I want:
The end result should be State 1, State 2, State 3.
I would expect the picture to show it in order as well. State 1, State 2, State 3.
I changed the names as I state in my reply but the picture does not update, The branches are out of order.
On the state itself, you can click the drop down and have it move left or right (not inside the Configure State Machine).
Are the names updating?
