I would like to enable members of the SharePoint Site Owners group to respond to tasks on behalf of the assignees in the event the assignee is not able to (on vacation, on furlough, left the company, etc.) Allowing delegation does not fit this bill. I've tentatively added the Site Owner's group to the assignees, however, that means they get the email notifications as well. I'd like for them to be able to go to the Workflow Tasks list, open the respective task, and then respond to it. But unless the person is the actual assignee, (s)he cannot respond to the task. Even a site collection admin cannot do this. Is there a way to do what I'd like to achieve?
