I am attempting to create a workflow that will capture the changes within items in a list and notify the person assigned to it of these changes. I have found a thread here that explains the process using hidden fields within the list to store the old data and then checking against these fields. After researching all of the different ways to complete this task I think that this would be the most practical for my skill level but I am confused about how to use the variables in this example. If anyone could help explain how to use them I would be very grateful. I have attached a copy of how I have the workflow set up now. Thanks.
