I am using Nintex My Pending tasks webpart, but it doesn't show tasks assigned to my group. Kindly advice how I can view my group tasks.
I believe the My Pending Tasks webpart will show all tasks assigned to the logged in current user, and that it evaluates the user based on login name. So any tasks assigned to "domain\adgroup name" will not match and not appear in the webpart.
I apologize for my confusion, but can you explain what your group means? I assume it is not that you need to group task items. Do you mean to display tasks for an AD group or a SharePoint group?
Yes. If am member of any AD or SharePoint group and task is assigned to that group, It should appear in My tasks webpart.
Is there any alternative or trick where we can have my group tasks? I believe its a genuine requirement to show my groups tasks as we use groups where users get changed time to time. Nintex should think about it.
There really isn't a good ootb way to filter by group membership, but there are ways with customizations using SharePoint Designer. I would look at Mike Smith's blog on some options Mike Smith's Tech Training Notes: SharePoint - Filtering a View by Group Membership
Using audiences will only display the webpart based on your membership, but not filter it.
The only other alternative that comes to mind is to create pages for each group with the webpart filtered to that group. Then have a table of contents of sorts to each group.
