Workflow on SharePoint 2016  for a list is not running automatically

I created a simple send a notification workflow when an item(simple Nintex form) is added to  the list . In workflow settings , I selected Yes for start when new item is created and unchecked start manually. But when an item is added to the list , workflow does not run automatically. I have to go manually select the item and in items tab , click workflows and run the workflow and it runs successfully. How can I automate it to run?
