I want to create a date validation rule on a date column that should allow me to select values only after 1st Jan 2017. Right now I'm using this rule
Thank you, Enrico Knapp. Your idea gave me another idea. I used this
Signing date is the column on which I needed the validation.
Thank you all for the suggestions
Hi ChandraShekhar R,
The date picker has configuration within itself to make sure you are picking dates greater than a certain date.
Open date picker configuration > expand Validation > select 'Yes' for Use Range Validation > specify minimum and maximum values.
Hello Kapil Joshi, thank you for the recommendation. But I have already tried that. When I use the range validation and type in the min value as 01/01/2017, it says that an invalid date is provided. In our current system, we follow "MM/dd/yyyy" format.
Even if I use the "formatdate" inline function, without the use of named control, it doesn't validate. Any suggestions?
our SharePoint is german but you should be able to use this value as your validation rule
Date function will create a new date from Day, Month, Year, Hours and Minutes.
Worked in my environment.
