I have setup the notification as seen in the attachment with the appropriate condition. But when it gets to the point where i expect the email, it does not come
The screenshot of the send notification action that you posted looks fine so my guess is that either your SharePoint server hasn't been set up correctly to send emails or Nintex hasn't been configured correctly. Check out pages 21 and 22 of this guide for instructions of how to set Nintex up for sending email. I've assumed you're using SP2013 on-prem based on your screenshot.
Thank you very much for your response. I realized IIS 6.0 was not added so i added and configured it. I get this error
For the Nintex Workflow emails to be sent out, you need to have SharePoint outgoing email configured on your farm. Here's a good article on setting that up: Configure outgoing email for a SharePoint 2013 farm. To see if it's already configured, go to SharePoint Central Administration > System Settings > Configure outgoing e-mail settings.
If it's configured and working, make sure the email settings are correct for Nintex Workflow. Go to Central Administration > Nintex Workflow Management > Global Settings and check the "Email settings".
