If I set the percent complete of a to do task = 100% the task status is changed to in progress not to complete. Doing the same with a standard SharePoint task sets the status to Complete. Is there a way to get the task to complete?
I can confirm that the 'Assign a todo task' action is built to watch for the 'Task Status' field to text to equal 'Completed'. Once it matches that, the task is considered complete by the workflow.
It does not watch the percentage complete field.
What version of SharePoint are you using? I have 2010, and changing the percent complete has no effect on the status of either a todo task or a regular SharePoint task. But to accomplish what you want, you can build a workflow that triggers when the % Complete changes, that if it’s 100% (because it’s a percent you would check if it’s equal to 1), change the status to complete.
I'm using SharePoint 2013 Foundation and Nintex Workflows 2013. When I create the task it has a status of Not Started, if I change the % complete 50 ( or any > 0) the status is changed to In Progress. The same happens with a out of the box SharePoint task list, but with the SharePoint task list if I set the % complete to 100 the status is updated to Complete.
Isn't this just SharePoint behaviour instead of Nintex behavior?
If it is not a standard SharePoint tasks list you are using but a custom list where you have added this field to, probably there is no automatic trigger (I am not a 100% sure though ).
