Trying to use the List Look up but my Source list is not visible to select from in the drop down.
I see my other lists. There are External Content Types I want to mention. The list are all located in the same site collection I am looking in as well
source list field is just site scoped, not site collection.
but you should be able to specify proper site in Source Sharepoint site field
I understand how it work but I need a visual of someone actually have it working with External List as the Source List. These list exist but Nintex will not recognize to display in the Source List drop down for the control.
try to choose 'expression' from source list dropdown and type in list name manually to the input box that appears right below the dropdown.
Just tried and get blank drop down on form preview.
Column names below." EntityName" is what i want for the drop down values
List Lookup properties
Can you check developer console?
You should see query issued and whether it succeed or not
I'm not sure whether it will work in preview, try to publish it and it that way
You mean Developer Tool in IE?
If so not sure how to use it for that. Can you explain in detail.
Or better yet have you ever used External List as a Source List in the Lookup List control?
Ok this is a bug identified from Nintex you can use legacy control to make it work and see the external list
Using the legacy People Picker control with Nintex Forms
I'm a bit confused with your post, what does PP has to do with your problem with lookup?
or have you meant legacy lookup control?
Issue with lookup change event firing on form load - Nintex forms version 2.7
Yes you are correct Nintex told me wrong link. Here is correction.
Also for me this was partial fix. I still need to connect to the "Location" for ID connect for the field name
Nintex Support sent me the following to import the legacy List Lookup;
1. On the Central Administration home page, click Nintex Forms Management.
2. On the Nintex Forms Management page, click Manage Form Controls.
3. Under the Form Control Types table, in the Import text box, enter the following text:
Nintex.Forms.SharePoint.FormControls.SharePointLookupFormControlV1, Nintex.Forms.SharePoint, Version=22.214.171.124, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=c52d764dcf7ec883
4. Click Import.
I am running into the same situation. I have followed your recommended steps and imported the control. Now how do you, in forms designer, select the legacy lookup as opposed to the normal lookup? After doing the import do I need to restart anything?

Ok, for some reason in my test environment I had to reset IIS. It worked fine when I tried in production. Now unfortunately as I am going through and setting up the List Lookup V1 control and External Content Type lists are still not showing. I tried using the expression and typing the name of the list too and that didn't work either. Are there any other settings that need to be set anywhere?
