We have a client who is very sensitive about emails going out, and we'd like to guarantee that error emails will not be sent out when a content database, with a site collection containing running workflows, is restored to our development environment. This is an on-prem 2013 environment. I've researched this a bit and found the following to do:
1) Make sure the Workflow Error Notification for the site collection settings is "No" before the database is restored.
2) Turn off the Workflow service before the database is restored.
3) Remove the email settings (i.e. the SMTP server) from the General Settings in CA before the database is restored.
So is there anything else to do, or is doing some of this overkill?
