Hi I am new to the Nintex world and I am trying to apply a rule to hide a panel from what is selected in a dropdown.

They have 5 to pick from on the drop down, if one is picked it will only show that panel and if the other 4 are picked it will show the panel that applies to those items.

This rule will hide the panel that apply to the 4 items:

contains(Named Control, "the one item that applies to one of the panels") | | isnullorempty(Named Control)

This rule will hide the panel that apples to the one item if selected:

not(contains(Named Control, "the one item that applies to one of the panels")) | | isnullorempty(Named Control)

The rule is not working.  Is this the correct rule to use, and is the syntax correct?

Thanks so much!
