They dont show up on the form and I dont see any options to add them. Am I missing something or is this a feature we dont have yet?
All, I've added a Customer Voice entry for this capability, so hopefully it gets some traction:
Add support for Business Connectivity Services (BCS) External Data column on Nintex Form – Customer Feedback for Nintex
It is not still supported
What are you trying to do?
I'm pretty new to Nintex, but I've used List Lookup in the form designer to display data from a secondary list.
This is for external Business Connectivity Services (BCS) data, not regular internal list lookups.
Anyone know where it is on the radar, if at all?
I do not.
Eric Harris hosts a Nintex Live Hangout on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. I was planning on attending and asking some of these O365 roadmap questions. I'm not sure of the overall interest level in the Nintex Community of O365 (I attended InspireX and most of my colleagues were on on-prem SharePoint), but it would be great if there was an outlet for those of us using it to ask questions and get answers on the platform. I'm not sure Eric's hangout is the time and the place, but I'm going to ask. =D
Thanks Brent Ellis for creating the User Voice feature request. It helps us prioritise the next feature.
I would think of a solution in which data would be updated by HTTP Web Service (POST). Would it be possible?
Our workaround for this at the moment is SSIS. I hate having to rely on a sync like that and creating duplicate data, but it's the only way we can use Nintex in O365 to allow users to make selections of "on-prem" data from our data warehouse.
As a result we're having use PowerApps for some things instead of Nintex. Microsoft have nailed the SQL gateway for PowerApps and PowerApps lets us connect to whatever data source we want pretty much.
