Why can I not edit a form through View form > edit form on iPad?

Question asked by swth on Feb 11, 2016

I have an issue that's been raised to me, from a bunch of users. I've testet it myself and get the same result as them:

When on iPad, I open an item, made through Nintex forms, in SharePoint Online to view the item. In the top left corner of the screen, I get the option to choose Edit form. If I click on this, the browser perceives it to be a file that it's unable to open, and so I can't edit anything. I've attached screen shots from both Google Chrome on iPad and Safari on iPad.

There's a simple enough solution to the issue, which is to view the list the item is in, find the item, choose the three dots and then "edit item". From here it works fine, but I don't understand why it doesn't work the other way around.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

The view item > edit item path works fine on PC btw.
