On the workflow email, the picture that I have inserted shows as an 'x' mark and not able to see the picture. Need help.
The URL of the image needs to be absolute rather than relative, e.g. https://domain/myimage.png. And it also needs to be accessible to recipients of the email.
I have had this problem too but in the body of the notification, absolute URL is converted to relative URL.
I workarounded this rewriting URL with a local variable and I put it in the body of the mail.
I have put the logo on the site assets of the same site collection and when on the body of the mail I insert the link pointin to the site assets, yet the outlook mail shows x mark.
Have you checked to see if the URL of your image in the sent email is correct? I've seen issues with URLs being changed to relative as Francois suggests.
