Symptoms
We have three controls connected to SQL SmartObjects wired to SharePoint List Columns. Have 8 plus additional columns wired to SharePoint list columns. When trying to save the list data, the browser reports the 'spinning' green circle and doesn't save the data to the list.
Diagnoses
It was determined SmartForms was sending the broker package request along with associations (which in this case is pointless). The associations will join the tables coming back from SQL and filter out results. In this particular scenario this returns 0 results, and it takes a lot of time to do the joins causing the performance lag and the long spinner.
Resolution
We identified a bug with the SmartForm runtime that was causing a bottleneck when sending the Form data back to the K2 server for processing. This has been addressed in Appit 1.5 Update 1.
