Issue

Using the default populate method Get List Items on a List View that has Paging is enabled causes filters to only filter against the data shown on the first page. Data shown on subsequent pages will be ignored.

Symptoms

A filtered List View is only returning partial results (from the first page), and not returning data from the entire data set. This causes incorrect data to be shown when a user filters.

Resolution

If you switch the populate method on the List View to Get List Items with Method Options, the filter will work as expected and filter the entire data set. This is the recommended method to use when using a List View that utilizes Paging
