Symptoms
When trying to apply K2 Appit for SharePoint to a site collection, the following error occurs:
"VALIDATION Access denied: You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource."
This makes running the registration wizard impossible to accomplish.
Diagnoses
Account that was being used was not given sufficient rights as a site collection admin.
Resolution
Issue was resolved by giving the user account site collection admin rights. Registration wizard ran after these changes were made.
