"Primary Credentials Not Authenticated. Session Not Authenticated" error in K2 Management

When navigating to K2 Management, the following error is presented to the user: 

Primary Credentials Not Authenticated. Session Not Authenticated.

 

Reloading the page and/or clearing the browser cache has no effect.

Instructions

Navigate to the 'authtest' URL for the Cloud environment.  This URL should be in the following format:  '<k2 site>/Runtime/authtest.aspx'.  After hitting the authtest URL, close any open tabs of K2 Management and attempt to load the Management page again.  This should reset the authenticated credential cache and clear the error message.

This is happening when going to K2 smartforms. This is not a solution giving to all staff. What is the permanent solution and cause of the error? Reloading the page and/or clearing the browser cache has no effect.
