Issue with K2 Five 5.3 SharePoint Online integration. You receive the following error when trying to register a K2 site:
"Error trying to get relying party information: error"
Symptoms
This error most frequently occurs due to insufficient permissions.
As per product documentation (K2 Five Installation and Configuration Guide > Configure > Permissions > Required Permissions😞 The following permissions are required on the SharePoint Online side for the account which will be performing the initial app installation
(Installation Account/K2 for SharePoint App Upload User Account): SharePoint Online Tenant Admin of the SharePoint Environment
- Required to upload the K2 for SharePoint App to the SharePoint App Catalog in a SharePoint Online environment
- When the K2 for SharePoint App is installed for the first time, the user installing the app requires Tenant Admin permissions (including initial run of app registration wizard to setup admin consent).
Resolution
Run the K2 for SharePoint App Registration Wizard under the SharePoint Online Tenant Admin account.
