Hi guys,

I am a newbie with K2

I have one question that would be great if someone could help me.

How can I create SmartObject in K2 Blackpoint?

I can't find this feature in K2 studio that comes with K2Blackpoint.

Thank you

I am assuming you are using SharePoint with blackpoint here and want to create a  SMO for a list/library.

Go to the SharePoint site where your list/library is located, make sure you are logged in as a Site Collection administrator, and open the Site Actions menu, at the bottom of that list should be the option "K2 Site Settings". Click on this option. You should see a section call SmartObject Management, hit the "K2 SmartObject Site Lists and Libraries" option. Check the lists or libraries that you want to create an SMO for, and hit the create button.

Blackpoint only works with SharePoint as far as I know.

Yes, Thirsty is correct in Blackpoint you can only create SP SmartObjects based on lists and libraries. This is one of the differences between Blackpoint and Blackpearl.

Got it.

Anyway, as you mentioned, Vernon, what are the major differences between K2Blackpoint and K2Blackpearl in term of developer?

I guess my boss would love to know about it, I have tried to search of it but I got nothing more than a vague idea.

Thank you :)
