Unable to publish workflow due to connection being used

Issue

When publishing a Nintex Workflow Cloud workflow, an error appears regarding the connection that is in use in one of the workflow actions.

 

 

Error Code

You do not have permissions for connections used in this workflow or connections used in this workflow have been deleted. Contact your Administrator.

 

 

Resolution

1. Ensure that all relevant workflow actions are configured appropriately with connections.

2. Ensure  that the user publishing the workflow has permission to use the connection.

3. Ensure that a connection in use still exists by navigating to Automate > Connections.

 

 

Additional Information

Notes regarding deleted connections:

 

1. If a connection is deleted, it's reference is not removed from workflow actions that were configured to use the connection. This may cause actions to appear as if they are completely configured when they are not. 

 

2. If a connection is deleted and a new connection is recreated under the same name, this new connection will not apply to previously configured workflow actions. Although the connections share names, the connections are considered to be separate and any workflow actions
