Issue

When trying to access the help files from the Nintex Workflow designer in SharePoint 2013, the following error occurs:

Nintex.Workflow.HC.cab file cannot be found.

Resolution

  1. Verify that the Nintex Workflow 2013 Help and How-to files are missing in SharePoint Powershell Management Shell, by running Get-SPHelpCollection command.
  2. Run the command below to re-install the help file again:
Install-SPHelpCollection -LiteralPath ([Microsoft.SharePoint.Utilities.SPUtility]::GetGenericSetupPath("HCCab") + "1033Nintex.Workflow.HC.cab")

If a "Files do not exist" error occurs:

Download the 'Nintex.Workflow.HC.cab' file from the following link:

https://files.nintex.com/link/4DNAufCJZzD2gEuUhdrjO9

Note: This download link above is expires. If it is expired, please reach out to Nintex Support to have it refreshed or be provided the files.

Place the 'Nintex.Workflow.HC.cab' file in the following folder:

C:Program FilesCommon Filesmicrosoft sharedWeb Server Extensions15HCCab1033

Additional Information

This information only applies to Nintex Workflow for SharePoint 2013. Later version of Nintex Workflow's help button redirects to help.nintex.com rather than hosting local help files.
