Issue
Promasters see unusually high login count for certain registered users from Admin > Users. For example, the 'Logins' number for a new user is showing 150, where as the user has logged into the system only twice.
Prerequisites
- Customer has SSO Required mode enabled so users are authenticated without needing to see a login page
- Customer has a Promapp widget embedded on an intranet page that users access - usual when ever they open their browser.
Cause
The widget authenticates the user every time they visit the intranet page and the Promapp widget is loaded - they may not ever go to the Promapp, but it will be recorded as the number of logins. Running the 'Process Views By User' report will confirm that most of the people with the really high login's haven't even viewed a process.
Recommendation
Use the 'Process Views By User' report rather than 'logins' number to determine user activity within the site.
