Error when attempting to upload a file to a Cloud Storage provider (e.g. Google Drive, DropBox, Box, OneDrive)

Issue

When you attempt to upload a file to a Cloud Storage provider (for example Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, OneDrive) you may encounter errors such as:

  • Failed to upload file. File with the same name already exists

Causes and Resolution

  • When you execute the File SmartObject's Upload method, you must specify the uploaded file's path as well as the filename and file extension in the File SmartObject's Path property.  For example, if you specify images/myimages as the value for Path property, you will see an error. To prevent the error, you must specify the full path including the filename and extension, for example images/myimages/image1.png
