Error "UserID did not identify a User in the system"

ISSUE
The following error occurs in Salesforce:
 
The UserID did not identify a User in the system.
ERROR CODE
RESOLUTION
  1. Navigate to Setup > User.
  2. Select the affected user account.
  3. Edit Page Layout and drag the "DSProSFUsername" field onto the layout.
  4. Save.
  5. Navigate to the DocuSign Admin Tab > Console (or DocuSign).
  6. Click on photo icon in top-right corner.
  7. Navigate to Preferences > Users.
  8. Find the affected user account and click Open.
  9. In Permissions, select Copy API Username.
  10. Navigate back to the affected user profile in Salesforce and paste the ID in the "DSProSFUsername" field.
  11. Save.
