Error converting document. Conversion jobs did not complete.

ISSUE
 Using the Convert Document Action to convert Word Documents to PDF the workflow errors with: "Error converting document. Conversion jobs did not complete. 1 jobs failed. 0 jobs cancelled".

 

ULS logs have this error:  
Conversion jobs failed: Input file: https://mysite.com/testworkflow/testConvertDocs/sample1.docx; Conversion Id: 00000001-0001-10c3-8016-816b671615d2;  Error code: 6; Message: The file could not be downloaded from the input library due to a technical problem. Please contact your system administrator

 

Event Viewer logs have this error:
Event 7745  Cannot open database “WSS_Content_Teamsites” requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user ‘DomainWordServiceAccount’.
ERROR CODE
Error converting document. Conversion jobs did not complete. 1 jobs failed. 0 jobs cancelled
RESOLUTION
Please check the permissions for the Service account listed in the Event logs for the Sharepoint Content Database and grant SPDataAccess.

 

 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This error typically occurs when the service account running the Word Automation Services does not have access to the Sharepoint Content Database.
