When (auto) sending an email, the running User is getting CC'd or BCC'd.

Instructions

Check the following configurations:

Check Email Settings:

  1. Navigate to My Email Settings in Salesforce.
  2. Check to see if Automatic Bcc is enabled.

  3. If Automatic Bcc is enabled, disable it.

Check the DocGen Delivery Option

  1. Navigate to the DocGen Package Delivery Option.
  2. Check if the Email Template is a Salesforce Email Template.
  3. Check if Internal Email is checked.
  4. Check if Auto Send is checked.

  5. If this is the Configuration, below are options to resolve the running user being CC'd.

Option 1

Change the Email Template from a Salesforce Template to the DocGen for Salesforce Email Body Template. For more information, refer to Nintex Help: Email Body Documentation.
Note: With the combination (DocGen for Salesforce Email Template + Internal Email + Autosend) No Activity History will be created. For more information, refer to Nintex Community: Send Emails without Creating History Activity.

Option 2

If a Salesforce Email Template is desired, Salesforce requires a Contact ID when auto-sending. If Internal email is checked, it removes the Contact and uses the running User as the ID.

  1. Uncheck the Internal Email checkbox and add a Contact ID to the Configuration.
  2. Contact Selection on the Run Page.
  3. Ad Button Parameter '&Contactid=' to the Button. Documentation. For more information, refer to Nintex Help: Button Reference.
  4. For Drawloop_Next fields, add the 'SFContact:'

Option 3

  • Uncheck Auto Send on the delivery option.
  • These options will prevent the User from being CC'd to the Email. Choose which configuration works best for your environments Use-Case.
