Database Locked after Successful Botflow Run

Issue

When running a botflow that has imported data, you may notice that the input or output data file is locked after the botflow has completed its run. 

 

Resolution

The data file could be locked as the process to close may take some time but if you want it to close quicker, the best practice would be to add a Close Data action into your botflow and RPA should close the data files as soon as that action is executed. 

 

Additional Information

Another reason the data file could be locked is the Nintex Bot Ready screen is still open so RPA sees the process and not complete yet. This screen does not close automatically and requires manual interaction or a Close Me action in the botflow.
