userequals not working with currentuser and people field

I have a people or group field "Manager"

In Nintex form (2010), I need to disable couple of controls for all the users expect for the person present in "Manager" field. I tried applying rule on the controls saying If(userEquals(Current User,{ItemProperty:Manager1),0,1). But this is failing.

When I printed, these items in a label,

Current user is getting displayed as "domain\user name" and

Manager field is getting displayed as "Username".

How do I get userid (domain\id) for Manager field as well to make the rule work ?

Re: userequals not working with currentuser and people field

Hi Pradeep,

You can create a Calculated value control and put in the formula Current User (Display Name) and based your test with this control.

Thanks Christophe.

But I am not finding a way to put Current User (Display Name) in formula of calculated control. It is just giving Current User. How to get Current User (Display Name) ?

Thanks Christophe.

But I am using Nintex 2010 and it is giving me Current User in domanin\loginName. I tried with Named People control with default value as current user. It showing value in preview. But on Form, it is showing blank. Am I missing any configuration value for the People control ?

Hi Pradeep,

I am not familiar with 2010 but I can see from your screen shot, the button userProfileLookup.

Maybe you can use it to get what you need.

Re: userequals not working with currentuser and people field

Thanks Christophe.

I resolved this issue by changing the column settings. Selected 'Account' instead of 'Name (with Presence)'. Then userequals function started working as column value is coming as domain\id.
