how to show/hide elements depending on values in a multiple choice

Jump to solution

Hi,

So I have a choice control (named SelectEmailToUpdate) that allows for multiple choices as seen below

I want to show a different controls depending on the selection of choice above.

Home - Control 1

Work - Control 2

Home and Work - Control 1 & 2

So on Control 1 and 2 I have the rule

SelectEmailToUpdate!='Home'

SelectEmailToUpdate!='Work'

But of course when I select both they both hide, as the choice does not equal 'Home' or 'Work'.

I've tried different formula with no avail.

If any one can help that would be awesome,

cheers,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Control 1 rule, hide/disable when:

!inArray(SelectedEmailToUpdate, 'Home')

This should always hide Control 1 when 'home' isn't selected.

Control 2 rule, hide/disable when:

!inArray(SelectedEmailToUpdate, 'Work')

This should always hide Control 2 when 'work' isn't selected.

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks,

Barry.

Hey Barry,

How would this work if I want multiple choices to show a box? For instance the formula below only works if 'Service / Fill Rate' is selected. If a user selects 'On Time' the box stays hidden.

!inarray(ImpactType,'Service / Fill Rate','On Time')
