Hi,

i want to build a K2 Five Application. The application wil have a form and a driver (that will have the K2 Workspace Mobile App) will access a form and select "Start Job".

The application should then track his GPS coordinates and log it to a SQL Server table every 5 minutes.

The location services control has "Start Watching" and "Stop Watching" which seems like the things i want. But i am not sure to what i am limited to.

Now what drawback does this have?

Considerations:

- The app should be able to still "watch" for location changes regardless of the driver's actions (closing the app, offline, etc)

- Google Maps integration for retrieving estimated times

- Google Maps integration for sending location coordinates and or address names at certain intervals

If you have any suggestions, please dont hesitate to add it

Good day Cal_Muller,

You can start by having a look at the video for location services control:

which should provide you with additional information regarding this control as well as our system documentation for this control: https://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2five/userguide/5.3/default.htm#Create/K2Designer/Controls/LocationServices/LocationServicesControl.htm
