how does lazy approval handle required fields

Emily Billing I am unable to find any documentation on how Lazy Approval handles User Interaction actions (i.e. Request Approval) and processing Rules (like a validation rule that marks a control as invalid if it is empty)?  I suspect that validation is ignored but can you point me in the right direction?

During Lazy Approval only considers the choosen outcome and terms.
