Hi Christophe

thanks for reply

this video is not exactly satisfies my requirement.

I have to expand and collapse panel(some fields) on button click. As if once button is clicked then panel is shown and in second click it should be hidden

Hi Chandni

You can use a YES/No control, e.g. named show_panel_yn,  to show/hide a panel:

Hi Manfred,

I have used checkbox and implemented hide-show rules.

but what If I need this kind of functionality on 'Button click', is there any JS function to hide-show panel or using client click?

You can let the checkbox and the related rules and just add a button on the form. The button calls a Javascript function which will check or uncheck you checkbox and then your rules will be applied.

You have to store the client id of the checkbox in a Javascript variable (this can be done in the settings of the control, Advanced section), for example : showHideCbxClientId and the Javascript function to call by the button should look like this :

function showHidePanel() {

     var checkBoxControl = NWF$("#"+showHideCbxClientId);

     checkBoxControl.prop('checked', !checkBoxControl.prop('checked'));

     NWF.FormFiller.Functions.ProcessOnChange(checkBoxControl);

}

Hope this helps (even if I answer a bit late)

Hi Caroline,

Your answer came at right time. I've used Your hint to build a form with Accordion-Effekt.

Chandni Mehta please mark the answer from Caroline Jung as correct.

Kind regards

Hi Caroline,

I've tried to implement your solution but I keep getting error  showHidePanel() is undefined.    I put the code in the Custom JavaScript section of the form settings.   I just copied it directly from what you have above.    Any ideas why that would be?  When I debug I see the code on the page.

Thanks,

Brad

Can you send a screenshot of the custom Javascript section of your form?

Are there others javascript errors?

Do you have SharePoint in Office 365 or SharePoint OnPremise?
