default value on a list lookup using jQuery not showing on iPad form

I have a list lookup control that is configured to default to a selection by referencing a JavaScript variable / jQuery NWF$. This works exactly as intended on Chrome / IE / FireFox on Windows and Chrome on Mac.

However on Chrome on iPad the dropdown default value remains as "Please Select..." even though the value is actually selected when you open it up.

Has anyone out there ever experienced similair behaviour????

I'd be pulling my hair out if it wasn't for the fact that i'm bald as a coot!!

Any help gratefully recieved.

Neil

Re: default value on a list lookup using jQuery not showing on iPad form

Hi,
As far as I am aware Javascript is turned off by default on IOS.
It can be enabled but I think this is only for Safari browser.
