Jump to solution

Hi,

I have a question abuot "Reminders" of "Assign Flexi Task".

Is it possible to be an unlimited number of times to send "Reminder Mail"?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Hi,

I don't believe there is an option for unlimited reminders, but I would think, in reality, why would you want unlimited reminders? At some point an action, whether it would be an escalation/delegation of the task should take place after a certain number of reminders to ensure that something is done to keep the workflow progressing.

Regards,

Mark

Hi,

You could create a site workflow which runs daily and checks the task list for overdue tasks and dents out reminders. This could run "forever". I would however add some way to escalate tasks at some point in time.

Thank you for getting back to me.

If something set to "Number of reminders" of "Reminders", Unlimited Will you be able to send "Reminders Mail"?

Fair points made here.  How often are your reminders?

If you have a reminder every 3 days and you set it to 999 reminders, that's almost 3000 days which is around 8 years.  Is that unlimited enough?

What exactly are you trying to achieve?  When it comes tasks being assigned, since they are for approval of something, after 8 years, are you really going to care about what is being approved?

I'm just wondering if there is a better way to design this business process.

cheers,

Vadim
