Workflow with full control identity

I have two lists and on one list i have applied a workflow which changes the value of an item of the second list.

The second only have read access to all the users.

Now when the user does anything the item level workflow find the match of the second list and goes onto change but

the user did not have the write permission in the first place. So the workflow does not execute in the first place.

Now, my question is can we make the workflow to run with full control irrespective the user having any level of permission.

Re: Workflow with full control identity

Hi Niceto,

FYI, here you can find the Minimum Permissions List for Nintex for O365 .

One idea can be to give Contribute access but hide the Save Buttons in List 2.

Regards,

Christophe

Re: Workflow with full control identity

I like the idea of giving the contribute access and hiding the save button.

However i have couple of questions:

1) how do i hide the save button.

2) what happens when admin decides to append something to the record.

thanks

Re: Workflow with full control identity

In Nintex Form, I beleive that you do not need to add a save Button.

If you want to hide the standard Save button in teh Ribbon, you will need some javascript

NWF$(document).ready(function () {

    NWF$("#RibbonSaveButton").hide();

});

The next step will be to know if you are an admin or not

In O365 you can maybe use the App Step Action
