I have several workflows running on my site. Each workflow uses a different Task List but they all share the same Workflow History List. I've read these articles
Now I'm considering creating separate History Lists for each workflow. The shared history list currently has 100,000+ items.
What i need to understand is will changing the History List have any impact on the currently running workflow instances.
100,000 items in a Sharepoint list sounds scary. Intensive use like this really needs some sort of log rotation, archiving, or auto-purging solution.
I wonder if it would be possible to write a scheduled workflow to do some simple WF history management.
