The log in history list workflow action logs a user-defined entry into the workflow history list.
The log in history list action is a great way to see what is going on with your workflow variables!
When using variables in your workflow or generating complex scenarios that rely on certain field values, logging these values for debugging information can be useful. Logging values to the history list help troubleshoot where a workflow is failing and where logic is not running as expected. It can be used to determine if a process is running as expected.
To view the workflow history:
In the event type column, a comment type will be shown and in the description will be the information from the Log in History list action.
The log in history action is recommended before any comparisons and calculations, as well as general workflow information. If the workflow becomes very complex this method will make it much easier to diagnose.
For Example: Using a Log in History action within a For Each action, will log information to the history list as the loop processes. This can help to diagnose any issues and ensure the loop is running as expected.
To find the values in the multiple select list box use a "query list" action with the filter set to "select items when the following is true" choose which ver column you want your info from and "is not null". The variable must be stored in a collection variable as there is more than one item in the list.
