How do you plan to use Access with Sharepoint?

What is the Nintex product you are interested? Workflow? Forms?

An Access database will be created and pushed to the SharePoint site.  We will be using Access for querying and reporting.  We would like to use Nintex workflows to kick off reports and possibly send emails with the reports attached.  Is this possible?

I'd consider building reports with Sql Server Reporting Services and distributing it with Nintex Workflow.

I agree, but I was under the impression that if you create an Access database and publish it to SharePoint it becomes a SQL database anyway.  So you can use Nintex workflows with Sql reports?

Hi Alicia, It was an impression only

You are right on one point : When you put access DB into SP, the data is stored into SQL Databases...but trust me, you don't want to try to access this data through the SQL DB.

Sharepoint is normalizing the data into SQL, so the data you were able to query from your Access DB is now impossible to query (on a SQL perpespective).

In another Hand, Nintex can trigger workflow from the list generated from your Access DB. But in this case, Nintex is simply triggering a workflow from a Sharepoint List Item (which in your thought, is an SQL entry).
