I have started the K2.net server in console mode already.
But I can not register it on Service Manager.
It shows the error said that
'There was a communication error with K2 server, please refresh your server connection, or contact the administrator'

On the registration properties, I have set the server name : itas175.
This computer full name is 'itas175.abap.itas.com' on the domain 'abap.itas.com'.

I try with the itas175, itas175.abap.itas.com, localhost, IP Address.
All names get the same error result.

Please let me know, how to recover this problem.

Best Regards,
Toey.

Hi,

Have you specified the correct port number in your server registration?

By default, the server attempts to use port 5252 - This should be the default value in the server registration properties, but if it has been changed, then this may be causing the error you're seeing.

If you are attempting to connect from a remote machine which has to pass through a firewall it may be worth checking with your network management people to see if the port is blocked and get it opened up if again if it is blocked...

Dave.
