Here's the example. A school district has a single system to assign aids to grades at different buildings. You have school A, B, C, D, and E all with classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. You have a form to assign the aid to the class on a certain day. The issue is that the aid does not know which school to go to because all the form says is "1". Is there a way to get the result to look like "A - 1" from the Managed Metadata field? I also tried cascading dropdowns, but the same names still cause issues in selecting since you can select multiple schools and classes for a single day and I really do not want to have all those extra fields if I do not need to.
Hi,
when using Managed Metadata, you could set it to show all the path, so if you look at the item in the list (or also in display form I think, but I would check before confirming it) it will show you A>1, B>2, and so on.. could it be enough?
