cannot open the existing K2 project
Have not seen this one before, but I have a feeling that one of the smartobjects that the workflow uses is throwing that error. Have you tried opening this in Visual Studio.
That error is getting thrown by some SmartObject within your workflow. I suggest leveraging the smartobject service tester to figure out which SmartObject is the proverbial problem child. Make sure it has the appropriate permissions (K2 Service Account should suffice) and maybe try refreshing the service instance that it lives under.
Thanks all.
Due the K2 Server does not start, the project cannot open.
Have you tried starting it in console mode instead from teh services window. If you start it o the console, it will show you what the problem is. You should to able to get some idea of what is causing th issue.
